Project Background

With the increasing development of underground commercial spaces, many restaurants and food service facilities are now located in basement areas, including B1 and B2 floors.


This project was installed for a commercial kitchen located on the second basement floor (B2).


Because the kitchen drainage point was lower than the municipal sewer connection level, conventional gravity drainage could not meet the discharge requirements.


Kitchen wastewater contained:

  • Food residues

  • Solid particles

  • Cooking grease and oil

  • Cleaning wastewater


Without proper treatment, direct discharge could cause:

  • Grease accumulation inside pipes

  • Drainage blockage

  • Unpleasant odors

  • Higher maintenance costs

  • Non-compliant wastewater discharge

Therefore, the project required an integrated solution combining:

Grease separation + wastewater lifting

Three-stage Separation & Filtration System

The equipment adopts a multi-stage separation design:


1. Solid Waste Separation

The first stage removes solid particles from kitchen wastewater:

  • Vegetable residues

  • Larger impurities

Reducing the risk of pipeline blockage.


2. Grease Separation

Based on the density difference between oil and water:

  • Grease is separated and collected

  • Less oil enters the drainage system

  • Improves wastewater discharge stability


3. Wastewater Lifting

After separation, treated wastewater enters the lifting chamber:

  • Automatic pumping

  • Overcomes basement drainage height differences

  • Transfers wastewater to the required discharge point
